In 1992, Daniel formed a Traditional Irish band known as The
Tippers. Through its many incarnations, the band had performed in central Illinois and
Florida for many years. In 1996, Daniel studied traditional Irish music in the Allihies of
Western Ireland. It is upon these experiences that Daniel draws his Celtic music. Like all
his music, Daniel puts a Renaissance spin on his seemingly endless supply of ballads and
dance tunes. Accompanied on lute, guitar, or bodhran, he can rouse a room to laughter with
a drinking song or bring a tear to eye with the mournful songs of Ireland. Daniel has
played many pubs in the Chicago area, including The Emerald Isle, O'Grady's, Durty
Nellies, Riley's, The Spring Inn, The Loft, and more, as well as various coffee houses and
retirement/nursing homes.
